1 Opening Ceremony x 1 Keynote Speech x 4 Forums x 3 Workshops x 2 Sound Wave Experiences x 2 Guided Tours

Focusing on the globally debated topic of the positive impact of green and blue spaces on human physical and mental well-being, the 3-day event invites domestic and international experts and scholars to explore rich content. We eagerly invite your active participation!

The sound of wind through the forest, the aroma of trees, fresh and clean air—all these contribute to our comfort, stress relief, anxiety release, clarity of mind, revitalization, and rejuvenation. Scientists have gradually deciphered through scientific experiments how nature affects human physical and mental well-being across cardiovascular, nervous, immune systems, psychological health, and social behavior dimensions.

The concept of deriving healing energy from nature originated in Germany and has spread to Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and beyond. South Korea, for instance, passed the "Forest Welfare Promotion Act," which explicitly defines "forest welfare" as a vital national benefit, advocating for lifelong access to forests from birth to death. In Taiwan, efforts to promote forest therapy began in 2018 through collaboration between the Forestry Bureau (now Forestry and Conservation Agency) and the Department of Forest Environmental and Resource Studies at National Taiwan University.

Since its inception in 2021, the "Taitung Spirit Festival" has continuously utilized Taitung's natural resources to host healing experience activities, echoing the global trend of nature healing. This year, we plan to host the first "Nature Awakening Slow Living Festival Forum" under the theme of "The Healing Power of Nature," inviting domestic and international experts and scholars to discuss the positive impact of green and blue spaces on human physical and mental well-being. The 3-day event aims to enhance Taitung's international visibility by providing local expertise and community learning international exposure.

The forum also plans to invite Taiwan's experts in nature healing and local healing practitioners in Taitung to share their practical experiences and specialties, engaging in thematic dialogues over the three-day forum to promote broader attention and involvement in the healing power of nature.
